Description
The Blum Tandembox Ninka is a cabinet door-fixed, integrated pull-out waste bin system designed to fit a 600 mm wide kitchen cabinet. With four bins arranged as two 32-litre and two 8-litre containers — 80 litres combined — it makes efficient use of the cabinet's full internal footprint, leaving no dead space. The Ninka frame sits within a Blum runner system, meaning this is a genuinely engineered solution rather than a generic afterthought. Blum is a specialist in functional hardware for kitchens, known for their drawer and pull-out systems built to precise engineering standards — the Tandembox range reflects that focus on reliability and smooth operation.
Design and Mechanism
The pull-out is activated by the cabinet door, which is fixed to the frame via two front fixing brackets. Closing is handled by BLUMOTION runners rated to 40 kg, providing a controlled, silent close every time. The frame arrives pre-assembled with stabilising brackets, which add rigidity when the bins are fully loaded. An odour trap shelf spans the top of the bin assembly to contain smells inside the cabinet. The finish throughout is Orion grey matt — a neutral, satin-effect grey that suits most kitchen door colours.
Installation
The runners screw to the cabinet sides; the pre-assembled Ninka frame then seats into the runners, and the bins drop in. No specialist tools are required. The system is compatible with optional SERVO-DRIVE hands-free electronic opening if you choose to add that later. Minimum internal cabinet height required is 630 mm; installation depth required is 503 mm; the system is sized for a 600 mm wide cabinet.
