The most critical factor for a built-in kitchen bin is the width of your cupboard. To match the measurements used on our website, measure the width as outer edge to outer edge of the cabinet, not the door.

What is the difference between a pull-out bin and an integrated bin?

A pull out bin usually refers to the mechanism (sliding out on runners) where the bin is pulled forward rather than swinging out on a hinge. While an integrated bin refers to the bin being built into the cabinetry wether it swings out or pulls out. Most modern systems are both: they are integrated into the cupboard and pull out for ease of use. For example: Pull out bins can be fixed to the door, or require a second manuall pull out after the door is opened - both of these are integrated and fixed to the cabinet.

Can I install a built-in bin in my existing kitchen?

Yes! Many of our cupboard bins are designed to be "base-mounted," meaning they screw into the floor of your cabinet. This makes them easy to retrofit into almost any existing kitchen. How do I measure my cabinet for a new bin?

You need to measure the external width of the cabinet unit (e.g., 600mm) - measuring outer edge to outer edge. Also, check the internal depth and height, especially if you have a sink or pipework in the way. Most of our under-sink bins are designed with a reduced height to clear plumbing. Base mounted bins can fit intio cabinet larger than their width, whereas side mounted bins can only fit in the exacgt cabinet width they are designed for.
